What is your favorite activity to do outside the gym?
Hiking with friends...so many great places to go.
How do you make time for CrossFit in your weekly schedule? What’s helped you stay committed?
First and foremost, I never dread going to CrossFit. It’s always a good time. And I love that there’s lots of people to motivate me to work hard. It’s also super convenient because it’s on my way home from work. So...no excuses!
How has 5280 made your life better?
The workouts, the nutrition guidance, and the community have helped me to meet my weight loss goals and build strength and muscle. Never had muscle definition in my arms before...kinda like it!
What is one CrossFit goal you are currently working on?
Right now my goal is to continue my workout and good eating habits through the holidays. Will have to get a little more serious and goal focused in the new year.
Share one CrossFit story… (funny, cool, inspiring, etc)
Probably my proudest moment was completing the whole Murph workout...with one minute to spare. Did not think I could do it. But damn! I did it!
What advice do you have for someone thinking about starting CrossFit?
Just do it! (I know it’s been used before..but it really works here.)
Tell us something most 5280 CrossFit members don’t know about you.
I’m a middle school assistant principal...and love it! But yeah...need all the strength and perseverance I can get.
